We thought about how we would know if we "were done" or had done our best work. We made a checklist to refer to as we worked.
We talked about brush size again. Ask your child when they used their mama bear brush and their baby bear brush?
We also talked about how to use our palettes for our paint. We challenged ourselves to work carefully so that we would have all of our colours to work with. We discovered that if we mixed them without thoughtfulness, we would end up with just one colour....brown.
We also read Camille and the Sunflowers. Based on an actual encounter and real people, this story about the life of Vincent Van Gogh, taught us the importance of being Safe, Caring Welcoming and Respectful. We talked about how we can give kind compliments to our peers about their work, (even if we don't like their picture).
